Added by SimantThe Energy Wing System (エネルギーウィングシステム, Enerugīu ~ingu Shisutemu) was developed by the Camelot research group using data from the captured Guren Flight-Enabled Version as the basis for development. When the Energy Wing System is completed, the result was the creation of the first Ninth Generation Knightmare frame called the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Eight Elements. It did not take long for the Britannians to equip the Energy Wing System into one of their own Knightmare Frames, the Lancelot Albion. Even when both of them are destroyed, the Energy Wing System will surely influence many new Knightmare Frame designs for years to come. The Energy Wing System, when activated, has a characteristic rippling effect that causes the air around the Knightmare Frame to create a ring of light that mimics the color of the the Knightmare Frame Energy Wing.
Design and Development
Edit
The Energy Wing System is an improvement of the Air Glide System first developed by the Black Knight chief scientist Rakshata Chawla. The design was later perfected by Lloyd Asplund of the Camelot research group, and installed into the captured Guren, Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Eight Elements. The other Knightmare frame to have such a system installed was the Lancelot Albion.
Performance
Edit
The Energy Wing System performed marvelously in combat, first shown being able to move at high speeds during the Second Assault on Tokyo Settlement when Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. instantly destroys its enemies and defeated Luciano Bradley, a member of the Rounds, without any trouble. Lancelot Albion, which has the same technology, easily defeats four Knight of Rounds during the Uprising.
It is hinted that the number of "wings" a Knightmare wields, would define its unique power/ability. The Guren S.E.I.T.E.N., which has four wings, has extreme speed while the Lancelot Albion, which has three wings, acts as a "weapon" by shooting crystal-like beams from the wings.
