Benjamin Franklin was one of the key members of the Washington Rebellion, but instead he defected to the Britannians when they manage to persuade him with the Title of Nobility when he is about to appeal to King Louis XVI for assistance. He is then given the Title of Earl by the Britannians. Because of it, the Continental Army suffered a decisive defeat during the Siege of Yorktown in which George Washington was killed. It is hinted that C.C. knew Benjamin Franklin personally. Franklin's betrayal is pivotal in the continued existance of the Britannian Empire. Had Benjamin Franklin remained loyal to the Revolution, The Holy Britannian Empire would cease to exist and the United States of America would rule instead.
